YouTube has been a Real Asset to Communities Worldwide and a Tremendous Tool for People to Communicate, Share & Express themselves by way of the Video medium. THANKS YOUTUBE ! YouTube permits its members to share their Videos by allowing them to copy the Unique YouTube Allocated URL Link of Your Uploaded Video and place this on another Website. It is this YouTube Permitted Usage, that YAKMATE utilises for You to Have Your Say ! I CAN HEAR YOU ASK ... QUESTION Why use YAKMATE when the Video is uploaded to YouTube ? JACK'S ANSWER IS ... YAKMATE Assigns your Issue & Video to an Elected Representative & connects you to others in the Wider Community with a simliar or the same issue via the YAKMATE COMMENT FORUMS. Each time your Video is Viewed on the YAKMATE VIDEO Page, so is the Name of the Elected Representative in the MEMBER & ISSUE Table to the side of the Viewing Window. These combined provide Public Scrutiny & Accountability for Actions taken, or lack thereof. \ YOUR YOUTUBE ACCOUNT & UPLOAD OPTIONS & BASIC TIPS ON CREATING VIDEOS ! YOUTUBE ACCOUNT ... As YouTube will be used to Upload & Store your Videos You will need to have a YouTube account. If you are new to YouTube, then I have provided a few static Screen Shots of Various YouTube Pages below, to assist you in, Creating a YouTube Account, Uploading your Video to YouTube & where to Locate the Required YouTube Allocated Video URL & Title to Submit & Share on YAKMATE. Create your New YouTube Account CLICK HERE ! by signing up to YouTube today, Mate ! CREATE ... Many Electronic Devices today have the ability to Record a Video. You can Record your Video with a Digital Camera, Web Cam on your PC or even a Mobile Phone that has a built in Video Camera. Equally there are a number of different software packages that provide Video Making & Editing Capabilities. Many New Computers have pre-loaded Movie Making Software such as Windows Movie Maker. You Do Not have to appear in Your Submitted Video. In some instances the Video showing the Issue with your Audio only may be appropriate. HOWEVER, it is Recommended that in some circumstances you are seen in the Video, so as to put a Face to the Issue. This may be the only opportunity and as close as you ever get, to Convey your Issue or Point of View Directly to your Nominated Elected Representative. This way you will not just be another Anonymous number ! Do not Personalise any Anger or Frustration you may be experiencing towards any Particular Individual or Group when making Your Video. Target these emotions in a Positive & Constructive Manner to Highlight your Issue so as it is Clearly & Concisely Communicated. MAKE YOUR VIDEO PRECISE, CONCISE & FACTUAL ! Once you have Created your YouTube Account & You have a Video you wish to Upload to YouTube then you will have three main ways available to do this. UPLOAD ... The Three YouTube Upload Options are: (A). VIDEO COMPUTER FILE : Where You Upload from a Stored (Pre-Recorded/Edited) File on Your Computer (B). QUICK CAPTURE : Where You Upload Real Time (Live) Directly from Your Webcam (C). MOBILE PHONE : Where You Upload Directly from a Video Stored on Your Mobile Phone You can use the Screen Shots I have provided below to assist you with the Uploading of your Video, in conjunction with the actual YouTube instructions on their General Support Centre Page available via the following link. CLICK HERE ! The three Upload Options are shown below in the YouTube Screen Shots. These Options are accessed by the Upload Link on each YouTube Page as shown below. Clicking on this Upload Link on any YouTube Page takes you to the YouTube Video File Upload Selection Page as shown under the section (4) of the YouTube Screen Shots below. When Uploading your Video to YouTube you can provide some written details relating to your Video Content while it is processing your Video as shown below in section (A). When YouTube has finished Processing you will be able to View your Video. Once your Video has finished being processed by YouTube, you will then Submit the YouTube allocated Video URL & Title to YAKMATE on the YOUR YAK Submission Form. Along with the YouTube allocated Video URL & Title (which you Copy from YouTube & Paste into the Submission Form), you will also be required to enter written comments in the YAKMATE Submission Form on the YOUR YAK Page. You can use the same comments (Copy & Paste) that you supplied to YouTube. YAKMATE will then provide a Link to your, Video (on the VIDEO Page) & Comments (on both the YAKMATE COMMENTS & VIDEO Pages), that you authorise & wish to share with the Wider Community. 	YOUTUBE PAGE SCREEN SHOTS ! 1. YouTube Video Viewing Page Layout ! This Example shows you what the Standard YouTube Video Viewing Page Layout looks Like. Note the location of the UPLOAD Link to use for your Video. (Click on this Court Jester URL Link above if you need a Laugh !) Note where Items you need for your YAKMATE SUBMISSION form are Located, The Video URL & Title are what you Click on & Copy (Edit > Copy or Ctrl C) then Paste into the Video URL & Title Fields of the YAKMATE SUBMISSION FORM on the YOUR YAK Page. NOTE: The Allocated YouTube Video URL for your Video is HIDDEN on the YouTube Viewing Page that you watch your video on, but it can be brought into view by simply Clicking on the SHARE BUTTON as shown above. When you Click on the Share Button you will be presented with the already Highlighted URL you require to Copy & then Paste into the YAKMATE Submission Form on the YOUR YAK Page so you can Submit & Share your Video on YAKMATE. NOTE: The YouTube URL is initially shown to you when YouTube has successfully completed processing your Uploaded Video as shown in section (A) below. Ideally you will Copy and Paste the URL & Title when you are Uploading your Video. If you do not, you can use the Share URL to copy and Paste to YAKMATE at a later date. 2. YouTube Sign In Page ! First Step in being able to Upload a video to YouTube is to 'Sign in' to your YouTube Account. This Example shows you the YouTube Existing Member Sign in Page as well as a Link to another Page for NEW Members to Create a YouTube Account. To go Directly to this YouTube Sign In or New Sign Up Link Page, CLICK HERE ! 3. YouTube New Member Account Page ! New YouTube Members will be directed to the New Account Area to Create your YouTube Username & Password. YouTube will check the YouTube Username you input to see if it is available. 4. YouTube Video File Upload Option Selection Page ! This Selection Page is Reached by the Upload Link being Clicked on any YouTube Page that it appears on ! This YouTube Page has One of Three Options to choose from to Upload your Videos. The Option you Select will then take you to the Appropriate Page for you to Upload your Video. These Three Options are shown in the following Screen Shots (A,B & C) below. (A). The YouTube Computer Video File Upload Page ! When you select the Upload Video Button (Option A) shown in section (4) Screen SHot above you will be presented with a window to input the File name on your computer that you wish to upload. Once you have entered the File name the Upload Process will commence Automatically. You will be shown the following screen & after a short period of time you will notice the Upload Progress Bar begin to move, showing the approx. amount of time for the upload to complete. Be Patient ! Once you have Commenced the Upload Process you will be provided a Preview of the Video Frames as they are loaded as well as the overall Porgress of the Upload. While the Upload is in progress you can type in the Video Information & Privacy settings. You will enter the Video Title and a Description of your Video. The Tags Field is used when searching on YouTube for Videos on various topics. You can type in words to describe your Video. I would suggest that as your Video's URL is going to be submitted to YAKMATE, then the First Tag you put in (as shown in the Screen Shot above) should be the word Yakmate,followed by words / sentences describing your Video Content. e.g Above : Yakmate, NSW Government, NSW Minister, Department of Housing. The Category Dropdown provides you a Broad Selection of what your Video Topic falls under. The Privacy option, to use YAKMATE should be the first option. i.e. Share your Video with the world. Once the Video has completed Uploading you will be shown a Message at the Top of this page stating the Video has been successfully uploaded and is being processed, as shown in the Screen Shot below. Be Patient ! When you see this first message then click on the Save Changes button under the Privacy Selection Option as shown below. Eventually you will be presented with the URL Link & Your Video Settings Saved Messages. Under the Sharing Options (as shown below) you will see the URL to submit to YAKMATE & Embed Code (which you don't need for YAKMATE), that YouTube has assigned to your Video as shown in the Sharing Options above. A short time after the URL message appears, you will them be able to view your video in the YouTube Viewing Window. Click on the YouTube URL in the message to view the video. You will then be shown the Video and message as shown below. The details shown above are for the first video (YV 203) submitted to YAKMATE. Now your Video has been Uploaded to YouTube you can Submit the URL & Comments to YAKMATE. (B). The YouTube Webcam (Quick Capture) File Upload Page ! When you Select the Record From Webcam Option you will be presented with the following Page as the first of three that you need to set up to Upload your Video. You need to Ensure your Webcam & Microphone are Enabled & Click the ALLOW Button as shown above for YouTube to access your Webcam. You will then be presented with the Following second Screen & you should be able to now see yourself in the window. Once You Have Recorded Your Video You will be Presented with the third page & the following Three Options Preview, Publish or Re-Record. Once You are Happy with Your Video Click Publish and then You will be directed to Complete the Details Required by YouTube for Your Video. As Mentioned in the Video in (A) above there is a Processing Period before the Video can be Viewed. (C). YouTube Mobile Phone Video File Upload Page ! To get to this page you need to be logged into your YouTube account & Selected the 'Set Up' under YouTube Direct Mobile Uploads as shown on the YouTube Video File Upload Option Page in Screen Shot 4 above. Alongside the 'Set Up' option there is also a 'Learn More' Option which you can choose that gives you a slightly different screen. Whichever Option you choose (Set Up or Learn More) you will see an allocated Unique YouTube Mobile Phone Upload Email address where you Upload your Video to from your Mobile Phone via MMS . Your Unique Email address for Mobile Phone Uploads is Automatically generated when you initially create your YouTube Account. There are Two Embedded Instructional Videos available for you to watch. These explain how to Create & Submit your Video to YouTube & how to Play Videos on your Mobile Phone. NOTE: If you choose this method to upload to YouTube be aware of Data Usage charges that may be associated with your mobile phone plan. If you do not have a Data Usage component to your Plan, then you may be up for some excess data charges. Check before you use this method. As Mentioned in the Video in (A) above there is a Processing Period before the Video can be Viewed. Be Patient ! To Set Up Your Mobile Phone for Video Uploads to YouTube ... You can Also View this Unique Email Address by clicking on the Drop Down Menu Arrow near your Username (when you are logged on to YouTube) in the top right hand corner of the YouTube Page. Select Account, then Mobile Setup & you will see your Unique Mobile Phone Email which you should enter into Your Mobile Phone Contacts Directory ready to Upload a Video. TO ALL YAKMATE MEMBERS ! You now have ALL the Details you need to CREATE, UPLOAD & SUBMIT YOUR VIDEOS ! Your Videos will remain on YAKMATE until You Choose to Close the Issue via the UPDATE Button on the YAKMATE YOUR YAK Page ! TO ALL ELECTED REPRESENTATIVES !
